This was the Hog Island Coast Guard Station in 1890. Located on the barrier islands of Virginia, this building washed into the Atlantic Ocean over half a century ago. The island had a thriving town community until the 1930's. Today The Nature Conservancy owns the island, one of the only vacant spaces left on the East Coast.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
